PS Financials provides utilities or modules that facilitate integration with any external resource.
The Data Transformation Tool (DTT) allows rules to be established to find, manipulate and post data both into PS Financials ledgers and other applications. Manipulations include validation, substitution or links to other workflow steps. The Data Transformation Service (DTS) enables DTT instances to be scheduled or driven by events within the ledgers or indeed any external application that provides sufficient software “hooks”.
A real strength of this functionality is the ability to accommodate changes in the external environment rapidly. If an input file, for instance, changes format, only the data transformation set-up requires configuration and the change may be affected in a matter of minutes.
These tools have proved invaluable in integration to AS400 and other earlier generation operational systems within an organisation.
