Implementation Methodology, Consultancy and TrainingAll PS Financials systems are implemented by experienced consultants (who are all highly IT literate qualified accountants). The initial stage of implementation is a meeting with the project manager. They explain the fully documented ISO9001:2000 and TickIT implementation methodology. There is also the option to control implementations to Prince 2 methodology and PS Financials have accredited staff for this. A project plan is then created and agreed by the organisation and PS Financials (in Microsoft Project) so that both parties know their responsibilities and the timescales involved. There are fully documented change control procedures which are used if the project is not kept to plan. In terms of Training PS Financials favour a 'Train the Trainer' approach where they train key users and then assist them in training other staff. The PS Financials philosophy places importance on 'ownership' of the implementation project. The 'train the trainers' approach enables this, plus means that the organisation is best placed to work with, and modify, the system easily and independently in the future. PS Financials always recommends that training takes place onsite using an organisations' own chart of accounts, structures, and procedures.
