Budgeting & Forecasting
PS Financials provide unlimited budgeting and forecast options. Because of the Unified Ledger design of PS Financials accounting and business software it is possible to create an unlimited number of ledgers so budgets and forecasts can be held against nominals, accounts and analysis groups.
How Budgets and Forecasts work with PS Financials:
- Budgets and forecasts can be named however the user wants to, so Budget changes can result in a new budget being created, not necessarily an update of the previous budget. This means you can report against any version of the Budget or Forecast.
- Budgets and Forecasts can be held as financial amounts or statistical entries.
- If you prefer to use Excel/Lotus for creating Budgets & Forecasts you can:
- Set up Excel spreadsheets to take information directly from the PS Financials Microsoft SQL Server relational database to create your budget or forecast.
- You can import Excel files into the Budget and Forecast fields in PS Financials.
With PS Financials accounting and business software Budgeting & Forecasting are integrated:
- Worksheets are created from actuals
- you can run variance +/- profiles for different budgets
- Distribute worksheets and collate these when they returned from budget holders
- Automatically update Budget & Forecasts when they are approved
