PS Financials provides future proof solution for leading international Human Resources management software developer. Bond International Software Group, which specialises in the development and provision of staffing software, support and consultancy services to the staffing and recruiting industries, is achieving significant productivity gains following the implementation of PS Financials' accounting software.
Founded in 1973 in Goring, UK, Bond currently employs more than 160 staff servicing clients based in 40 countries worldwide. Collectively, its software solutions support more than 28,000 users across the globe.
The company boasts regional offices servicing the Australasian, North American and African markets. Key international clients include leading recruitment agency Manpower Plc, which utilises the company's Adapt staff management software solution at more than 200 sites worldwide.
Bond is also recognised as a key innovator in the development of Human Resource software solutions and currently invests around 17 per cent of its turnover in research and development.
When it came time to replace the company's existing Sage Line 100 accounting software, the solution and proposition from PS Financials was "too good to refuse", says Bond Finance Director Bruce Morrison.
"The PS Financials accounting and business management system is a truly impressive software solution," he says. "We initially appraised smaller scale solutions from a variety of developers including Exchequer Software, Navision (Microsoft) and Sage. This process took around three to four months.
"However, PS Financials delivered a much higher scale system for a very competitive price. "We've been using the software for eight months and it's operated perfectly during this time. The PS Financials software offers great flexibility and ease of use."
Morrison says the implementation of the PS Financials software solution has rationalised Bond's finance department's operations and has raised efficiencies across the board. Operating in conjunction with Bond's Microsoft SQL database, the PS Financials solution provides real-time updating of statistical information and the ability to provide comprehensive reports regardless of accounting period restrictions.
"The PS Financials software has increased our efficiencies enormously. It has simplified tasks that were previously extremely complicated and resource intensive.
"Job tasks that previously involved compiling a multitude of spreadsheets are now performed automatically by the software. We have literally halved the time it takes to complete our monthly management accounts as a result of the implementation of this solution from six days to three."
Morrison says the Windows-based software solution also provides obvious benefits in terms of providing familiar interface for new users.
"The software seamlessly integrates with our existing Windows Microsoft Office software programmes, such as Excel, Word and Outlook, providing a one-stop solution for our finance department employees," he says.
"The simplicity of the package enables inexperienced users to input information safely and productively with pre-set administrative rules safeguarding our financial database."

Morrison estimates that the software implementation is saving his department 15-20 man-hours per month per person.
